The referance to the prototype BF 109- V1 the V-1 relates to the aero technical word
that is used in the business to describe when the engine turning a propeller starts to pull the aircraft down the runway at
a point when the tail comes up off of the ground and the high pressure areas under the wings start to take the weight off
of the landing gear and the flight controls start to respond at your easy touch at that point with the engine
running at the usual maximim take off power you have reached V-1, not to be confused just like with the National
aero -space plane of the 1980's the pulse jet flying bomb with wings known by the british as the Doodle-Bug also related to
as the V-1.
Ok well we some how got around that little bit of explained or unexplained
indiscretion lets talk some historical turkey. The oringinal BF-(109) flew with a british Kestral engine in it after the prototype
passed its V1 deveopment stage and actualy took to the skys its offical designation B-1 was known through the ranks and we
told this angle to the story to tell you the mode of operation in aircraft manufacturing are very much related to contracts
for orders and who is interested in them this can tell and force a whole new story about what happens to a prototype design
its development and production the peaple and the company around and about it .
When Willie Messerschmitt was building ugly but sturdy little passenger and mail planes the
aviation industry in Europe which was more subsidzed then aviation here in america paid off a little more and airfeilds started
to pop up here and there and aviation really became more then a cottage industry with a real job and responsibilty and not
just a chalvary weapon to entertain the troops in the muddy trenches when they wern't fighting. Willy's little company
that was many young hungry childrens hope for the future who did not have fathers nor many days to ponder nothing but the
future wheather because of the war to end all wars the turmoil of the twenties and the story of the wrights their airplane
development company and the great depression and what happened after can really make you an unbeliever in easy money especially
what it can't do for you.
Bayerisch Flugzeuwerke Willy's little company became in 1938 Messerschmitt AG and was as has
been reported to of been not one of the ultra Nazi partys favorites. To this day before during and after the war the
design and the construction of the BF(109) by the Messerschmitt company and the Reichministers office of the air ministry
have maintained to this day that it was a product constructed to maintain the peace and not offensively and in aggresive enthropy
attack its European neighbors or any other countrys .
